Considering the increase in crime and random assaults on innocent pedestrians in NYC, Dr. Garber’s app offers an effective and convenient solution for safety and peace of mind.
Unfortunately the government can no longer help residents of NYC. Good for Ms. Garber to figure out a solution to improve and provide safety peer to peer. I wish her the best with this program.
Great discussion and a great idea. There are several things that this app can be used for. I love the idea of having this in co-ops in NYC and in large corporations. I will be in touch with Ms. Garber for a possible investment.
As to your app idea, I like it. Seems quite practical in its basis. I also feel that it would have many other applications. However, the devil is in the details and I would have significant concerns. The first of which is your idea of publishing it at this early stage. It is a young idea, in a raw form and thus, in my mind, quite vulnerable (think Zuckerburg).

WOW! A great idea! The news has made people fearful and afraid but not safe. NYC was once the Capital of the world in my view.. Unfortunately politics, bad policy, politicians, and the rabid press have turned a blind eye to the plight of people visiting NYC and its own residents. In order for a society to be secure they need to feel safe. I applaud Pam and this program.
Ms. Garber, I would love to see this implemented in both co-ops AND office buildings. The idea is creative and doable.
